2005 La Muse
94 - 97 Points - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, May 2007
"Deep red-ruby. Vinous aromas of black cherry, licorice and minerals, lifted by pungent medicinal high tones. Silky on entry, then impressively dense in the middle, with a deeply mineral character to the pure flavors of black fruits, violet, bitter chocolate and spice. Tannins are substantial but fine, and the wine’s structure and freshness promise a long and slow evolution in bottle."

2005 La Joie
96 - 98 Points - The Wine Advocate, Robert M. Parker, Jr., December 2007
"A blend of 66.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.7% Merlot, and 12.3% Cabernet Franc as well as some Petit Verdot and Malbec, this is a wine with a dense ruby/purple color, a florious nose of lead pencil shavings intermixed with cedar wood, black currant liqueur, espresso roast, and chocolate. It also possesses huge amounts of fruit and tannins. The tannins are elevated, but the wine is so enormously endowed, don’t think there’s a doubt that it will come together brilliantly, as everything seems to be in proper proportion. This is a colossal compelling proprietary red wine that should be at its prime in about 2015 and last for 30+ years."
95+ Points - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, June 2008
"Good bright ruby. Black cherry, minerals, musky Cuban tobacco and leather on the nose and palate, lifted by a minty nuance. Lush on entry, then concentrated, sweet and penetrating, with superb focus and sap to the middle palate. Wonderfully expressive even if still youthfully unevolved. Finishes with full but ripe tannins and a compelling combination of sweetness and energy."

2005 Le Désir
96 Points - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar, June 2008
"Good medium ruby. Cherry, minerals and caramelized meat on the nose. Wonderfully lush, suave and fine-grained, with captivating flavors of dark berries, black cherry, gravel and lilac. Finishes with extremely fine tannins, superb grip and outstanding subtle persistence. This reminded me of a ripe vintage of Cheval Blanc."
94-96 Points - Robert M. Parker Jr., Wine Advocate, December 2007
"A dead ringer for a great vintage of St.-Emilion’s most expensive wine, Ausone, the 2005 Le Desir (49.9% Cabernet Franc, 39.3% Merlot, 8.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2.1% Malbec) has an inky/purple color and a gorgeous nose of crushed rocks, violets, licorice, sweet black cherries, blackberries, and currants. The wine is full-bodied, like all of these wines, rich, but ferociously tannic and dominated by its mineral component. This is an exceptional wine that needs to be forgotten for at least 5-10 years and drunk thereafter."
