Tasting Notes
"A blend comprised primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon that is articulate and powerful, LaJoie expresses the richness and depth of a Pauillac-style wine. It begins with a deep ruby/purple color. The nose offers layers of boysenberries, violet perfume, faint cedar notes and spice box. Its silky tannins coat the palate elegantly and unleash wave upon wave of dark cherry, cinnamon and licorice. A subtle oak presence is noted as well as surprisingly supple tannins for such a powerful architecture." - Pierre Seillan, Vigneron

98 Points, The Wine Advocate, Robert M. Parker, Jr., February 2005
"Deep ruby/purple color is followed by gorgeous aromas of black truffles, scorched earth, tobacco leaves, blackberry and cassis liqueur, and notions of minerals as well as acacia flowers. This stunning red can be drunk in 2-3 years or cellared for two decades."
94 Points, International Wine Cellar, Stephen Tanzer, May 2005
"Bright ruby-red. Blackberry, licorice and mocha on the nose. Densely packed and juicy, with sharply delineated dark berry and floral flavors. Large-scaled, but light on its feet owing to its lovely lift. Serious, gripping wine with a long, bright finish."
